MANAGING CRISES BEFORE THEY HAPPEN
The 1998 project of the United Colors of Benetton (represented by the Turkish Boğaziçi Garment Corp. in Turkey) “We give up our colors,” took place as a case study in the book, “Managing Crises Before They Happen” authored by Ian I. Mitroff and Gus Anagnos and published by the American Management Association (AMACOM) in 2001, NY as Example 1: Benetton-Turkey.
INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC RELATIONS, 1995 Edition
Beymen store and its prestige magazine Status collaborated with the Leprosy Foundation of Turkey in 1984 for elimination of leprosy, and campaigned with a slogan: “Hand in Hand for a World Without Leprosy.” In his 1995 book, then-General Secretary of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) Sam Black included the campaign as one of the 40 successful projects.
